What to expect

The MAES Leadership Academy is the premiere training ground for the up and coming leaders of Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics (STEM). Students will experience executive-level leadership training throughout the three nights via a Team Competition, StrengthsFinders assessments, Industry Leading Workshops, Entrepreneurship Training and more.
Students will also have some fun along the way!

Team Project Competition

When students arrive on Thursday, they will be assigned a team made up of students from different chapters and experience levels. Each team of students will work together under the direction of a corporate or professional coach to develop a written business plan and/or presentation. This competition is designed to test creativity, professionalism, communication, and teamwork as students present and defend their projects against a panel of judges.

Executive Panel

The Executive Panel will consist of three highly respected and accomplished leaders that will open themselves up to any questions students might have. This panel will occur during a meal function.

StrengthFinders

The StrengthFinders® session is a self assessment activity where students will identify their top strengths based on Clifton StrengthFinders® Assessment. Personalized evaluations will be made for each students as well as group analysis for everyone in attendance. The MAES Leadership Academy will conclude with a de-briefing and open discussion to reflect on the lessons learned by applying StrengthFinders® throughout the previous days.

There is a hotel shuttle available from the airport to the hotel. Students need not call hotel as we only offer student packages with lodging.
