Overview

The Texas Science and Engineering Festival is a free two-day carnival and exposition that will “Excite Your Mind!” The event consists of 100’s of hands-on, fun science and engineering activities presented by volunteer professionals, university professors, and college students across a wide range of technical and scientific fields. The event showcases remarkable technology and role models with the intent of inspiring youth and families to pursue opportunities, education, and careers in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).

The Texas Science and Engineering Festival is a satellite event of the USA Science and Engineering Festival. It is one of MAES’ many programs and events designed to reinforce the benefits of higher education. The overarching goal is to create awareness of STEM among Pre-College students resulting in a greater number of Latinos completing high school and pursuing college education.
