Science Extravaganza

Outreach, Student

Overview

MAES Science Extravaganza is a one-day, hands-on academic enrichment experience for middle and high school students. Held all across the nation by MAES’ professional and student chapters, this event is ideal for sparking an interest in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) among younger students. The event consists of workshops and activities presented by volunteer professionals, professors, and college students across a wide range of technical and scientific fields.

Science Extravaganza is one of MAES’ many programs and events to reinforce the benefits of higher education. The overarching goal is to create awareness of STEM among Pre-College students resulting in a greater number of Latinos completing high school and pursuing college education.
