MAES Announces Participants for Inaugural Lean Six Sigma Training Program Hosted by America’s Navy at Symposium 2012

Houston, Texas (October 8, 2012) MAES proudly announces the participants of the Lean Six Sigma Training Program being held at MAES Symposium 2012 in Las Vegas, Nevada.  Each participant will receive a Navy Lean Six Sigma White Belt Completion Certificate.  The training program will be held Thursday, October 11, 2012, from 8:00 am until 12:00 pm at the Riviera Hotel and Casino.  The four-hour training class is hosted by America’s Navy; the instructor for the class is Dr. Aaron U. Bolin who completed his doctoral work in Industrial/Organizational Psychology.

The Lean Six Sigma Training Program is one of many unique opportunities made available to professional and student members of MAES.  This program is one of many to deliver on MAES’ commitment to increase the number of Latino scientists, technologists, engineers, and mathematicians who complete a college education and enter the professions.

This program is a joint venture by MAES and America’s Navy. America’s Navy wants to ensure that the students and professionals of their partnering organizations achieve their fullest potential to impact the world around them. America’s Navy is excited to bring a training series that is in line with the mission and vision of MAES.  They will be conducting a practical hands-on guide to continuous process improvement using Lean Six Sigma Tools and Techniques.

The goals of the sessions are to equip participants with a basic working knowledge of continuous process improvement tools that is geared towards real-world application. The curriculum will consist of three parts: Lean and Theory of Constraints, Six Sigma and Structured Process Improvement, and Integrated Lean Six Sigma.
